Position Overview The Director of Information Technology will play a vital role in oversight and leadership of technology strategy and infrastructure. Reporting to the CTO, responsibilities include implementing, supporting and managing all technology systems and infrastructure as well as ensuring the availability, integrity and security of all technology platforms. This is a hands-on role which provides an opportunity to have a significant impact within our fast-growing organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Advise & recommend strategic alternatives for the overall Information Technology landscape to the Executive Staff. Execute on those initiatives with visibility and communications along the way. Set the Strategic direction for the global IT group at ProctorU. Assume ultimate responsibility for the Cyber / Information Security / Physical Security program, ensuring best in class security posture for ProctorU’s worldwide footprint.
  • Develop and mentor IT staff, ensuring optimized collaboration within the IT department and between IT and other groups at ProctorU.
  • Oversee and optimize hardware acquisitions & technology vendor negotiations with close cooperation with the facilities, purchasing and legal functions at ProctorU. Assume oversight of the IT budget planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance to best in class company governance across the IT landscape.
  • Drive the top level critical business systems projects to meet the transformational business needs present at ProctorU today and anticipate those of tomorrow.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology
  • 7+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in Information Technology roles, including 3+ years current leadership experience managing and administering a major IT operation. Preferably in the field of Education Technology or the Call Center industry.
  • Experience in both large, mature companies as well as small, high-growth, entrepreneurial companies is desired.
  • Strong track record of evaluating, analyzing, designing, implementing, leading, and monitoring effective and efficient IT processes to proactively improve performance while ensuring maximum cost/benefit of IT spend.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on leadership in development and implementation of contemporary enterprise technology architectures, best practices and current innovations across technology solutions and platforms.
  • Knowledge and willingness to continually stay on top of the latest industry products and technologies, and be able to integrate new technologies into the ProctorU environment to drive improvement.
  • Focused on maintaining tight controls and compliance posture.
  • Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills; specifically a demonstrated ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic environment.
