Department/Organization: 301201 – Administration – Strategic Communications

Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, performs basic professional accounting assignments requiring knowledge of accounting theory and principles.

Additional Department Summary: This position will report to the Assistant to the VP of Strategic Communications and manage day-to-day operations related to, but not limited to, expense tracking, maintaining budgets, procurement, contracts, reconcile both state and foundation accounts and serve as division's budgetary approver. This position will oversee the purchasing process and approve travel and other expenses in Concur for the division.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; OR Associate's degree and two (2) years bookkeeping or accounting experience; OR Bachelor’s degree with some bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in Excel. Familiarity with basic accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications: Higher education experience. Experience with Concur and Banner Financial.
