Job Summary

ET Accounting is part of ET Investments; a Parker, CO based company that provides accounting, analysis and other infrastructure services to its insurance agencies and other owned entities in 7 states. We are currently seeking an Escrow Accounting Assistant. The position is an integral part of our accounting team, reporting directly to the Escrow Accounting Manager. We are open to this position potentially being a work from home opportunity upon completion of training and comprehension.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow up on outstanding checks on multiple accounts in multiple states
  • Assist in reporting unclaimed funds to multiple states
  • Help manager with reporting real estate transactions to the IRS
  • Answer Escrow accounting questions from Escrow staff via phone and email
  • Prepare reports for and assist with month-end process
  • Reconcile escrow accounts
  • Do limited auditing as required
  • Perform special projects and provide assistance as needed

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic accounting knowledge (debits and credits)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including typing and grammar
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments and complete tasks
  • Self-motivated and desire to learn new skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Some banking and/or escrow accounting knowledge preferred but not required
