Weavertown Environmental Group and Bodine Services of the Midwest (A Division of Univar) is currently searching for a Staff Accountant at its Carnegie facility to add to our growing team. This position will be responsible for activities related accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries in accordance with company and accounting policies and established deadlines

Complete balance sheet reconciliations with outstanding items researched and appropriate action taken in a timely manner

Respond to field inquiries regarding financial results and expense classification

Communicate identified issues to supervisor and other management personnel in a timely manner

Maintain prepaid accounting schedule

Maintains fixed asset records; enters all fixed asset information into FAS software for tax and depreciation records

Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Assist in monthly closing procedures

Must be able to create ad-hoc reports and analysis, and interpret findings

Performs monthly bank reconciliations

Performs other related duties as required or requested

Skills and Qualifications

Time management

Attention to detail

General math skills

Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite

Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, importing and parsing data

Strong working knowledge of US GAAP

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong organizational and analytical skills
