Job Overview

The Campus Sales Manager is responsible for assisting in the sales management of a multi-brand portfolio of NHS properties, maximizing profits and achieving brand & company standards while providing leadership, direction and mentorship to the sales departments of each hotels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the training, coaching and support of sales employees of all NHS properties.

  • Partner with the Corporate Sales Team in ensuring budget revenue and house profit for all properties is met while maintaining all NHS and brand standards.

  • Act as a sales liaison between the properties and NHS, establishing and maintaining effective, positive relationships.

  • Routine evaluations of NHS sales standards (NHS Sales Tracker, Sales PComp, CMD Construction, Hotelligence, Variance Report, Sales Pro and Reservation Sales Reports from the property level)

  • Assist with the pre-opening and pre-acquisition process of any property as directed.

  • Serve as acting Director of Sales for properties with DOS turnover while a permanent Director of Sales is being selected.

  • Assist the Executive Management Team with projects as needed.

  • Complete projects and assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving and making adjustments to plans as needed.

  • Maintain and advance job sales knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.

  • Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes when needed.

  • Assist in Sales Annual Business Plan & Budget Process and quarterly reviews

  • Other actions/duties as specified by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a Director of Sales and or equivalent hotel sales experience is required.

  • Highly energetic and motivated individual.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus.

  • Knowledge/Experience in Hotel Sales

  • Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.

  • Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities.

  • Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner.

  • Adaptable to change.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • High level of flexibility regarding overtime during busy periods as required by the business
