MOSAIC is seeking an Accounting Associate to work in our Fulton, MD office. This position supports the Accounting Department and Executive Team. The person filling this position is responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and reporting, business systems management, and other tasks in support of business operations. This person assists with financial management for both corporate and contract expenditures and billings.

The ideal candidate has experience in Government contracting and must be able to research, analyze, coordinate, develop and maintain business documentation. The candidate must also be able to create, analyze, validate and verify reports. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work as a team player, and keep pace with a high-volume workload.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and track Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of invoices
  • Assist in the preparation of internal reports and information for financial management
  • Assist in identification, development and implementation of Department SOPs and processes
  • Manage, optimize, and maintain information relative to our MIS s (e.g. Time, Accounting, CMS), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Employee Reimbursements, Invoices and Time Reports, Solicitation Cost Volumes, Compliance Reports, Periodic Financial Reports, and Travel Expenses/Invoices.
  • Assist in the preparation and validation of reimbursements
  • Support purchase request activities
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures
  • Prepare cost and price information for proposals
  • Manage and maintain corporate pricing repositories
  • Prepare DCAA Contract Briefs for all contracts

Tools:

  • MS Office 365, Timekeeping system, Contracting system, Adobe Creative Cloud, Accounting System, Supply Chain (Exostar)

Deliverables:

  • AR/AP Reports, Time & Expense Reports, Billings, Productivity Reports, Reimbursement Reports, Purchase Requests

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • Two (2) years AP/AR Experience
  • Experience with Payroll Processing
  • Process invoices through customer systems
  • High proficiency in MS Office365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and especially Excel)
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and principles (DCAA, GAAP, etc.)
  • Experience with payroll
  • Light travel may be required
  • Candidate must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance
