The Graham Allen Partners team spends each day supporting our portfolio companies by raising capital, attracting talent, executing acquisitions, and providing a suite of professional services designed to allow our companies to focus on their most critical business functions: building their technology and delivering value to clients.

Position Description:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance and accounting functions of Graham Allen Partners and its portfolio companies. You will partner with the leaders of our portfolio companies and work hand-in-hand with their operations teams who will rely on you to think strategically and provide business insights that drive maximum value.

The Senior Accountant role will place you at the intersection of our capital investment processes and our portfolio companies’ growth & acquisition opportunities. You will work alongside the Controller and Assistant Controller to perform financial due diligence procedures for our portfolio companies’ acquisition targets and execute the post-acquisition financial integration process.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform month-end close duties including, but not limited to: recording, reconciling, and analyzing general ledger accounts and transactions which drive the monthly management and investor and compliance reporting requirements
  • Perform daily operational functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury activities
  • Research, document, and maintain accounting policies as new accounting issues emerge
  • Coordinate with external audit team and assist with annual financial statement audits and tax compliance
  • Develop and implement process and system improvements, where appropriate, to capture value through improving efficiency, leveraging technology, and reducing waste
  • Perform financial due diligence procedures for our portfolio companies’ acquisition strategy/ targets
  • Execute the post-acquisition financial integration process for our portfolio companies’ acquisition targets
  • Tackle ad hoc projects as needed

Required Skills:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred, but not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Two years of public accounting work experience
  • Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to excel in multi-tasking and participating in, and coordinating, new projects as they arise
  • Passion for developing a technology powerhouse that can transform the community
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident, can-do attitude, a sense of humor, and a demonstrated ability to interact across all levels on an organization (both internally and externally)
  • Ability to represent the company with high level of professionalism
