Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Manager will play an integral role on the corporate accounting team and overall organization, working through complex issues, transactions, and projects independently as well as collaboratively with other finance and cross functional team members. The successful candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment interacting with all levels of our organization, including inter-department team members, C-suite executives, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate and provide direct support to the CFO and Controller in the oversight and monitoring of the financial close process.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports as a culmination of the monthly close process.
  • Research and provide explanations to management for unusual transactions and variances from budget/forecast and prior periods.
  • Manage the preparation of weekly cash planning and projections.
  • Arrange ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management through complex calculations by extracting large amounts of data, categorizing, and applying formulas.
  • Support the development and refinement of management analytical tools and reports to monitor and improve financial performance.
  • Investigate and resolve issues and complete special projects as needed.
  • Suggest changes to processes to promote efficiency and improvements to accuracy of business intelligence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
  • Action oriented and attentive to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Superior oral and written communication, computer and Excel skills
  • Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Management experience
  • Experience with accounting software applications preferred
  • BBA or BS in Accounting is required
  • 5+ years of public or corporate accounting
  • A mix of Public and corporate accounting experience preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
