Excellent opportunity in a fast-growing, profitable, IT security software company on the path towards going public or sell off in 2 to 4 years. The Director of Accounting will have overall responsibility for monthly/quarterly closes, technical accounting, various audits, creating and implementing SOX process, working through number of global implementations with VP of Finance like concur, NetSuite etc…
Manage monthly/quarterly accounting close as a public company
Prepare monthly/quarterly accounting package for reporting to investors.
ERP Implementation experience from QuickBooks to NetSuite, etc.
Expert in revenue recognition with multiple elements (VSOE) - ASC 605 and ASC 606, EITF 00-21, SAB 104 etc.
Experience working with Deferred Revenue, Churns, renewals, Annual Recurring Booking and Revenue including managing full book of business and creating board materials as required.
Manage preparation and consolidation of Financials with various foreign entities and initial setup of consolidations in accordance with ASC 810.
Experience with technical accounting on Cashflow statement ASC 230, Foreign currency 830, Leases 842, deferred etc. and writing memos to present the position to management and auditors.
Experienced in re-statement of Financials, preparation of Financials statements and worked on getting a clear audit opinion from auditors.
Travel & Expenses Implementation experience in Concur.
Create and implement effective internal controls over the financial reporting process in order to maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
Manage various statutory requirements including sales & use tax audits, property tax filings, bank audit’s and local and federal income tax filings (actual tax filings prepared by local firm).
Experience with Avalara for sales and use tax.
Support VP Finance with quarterly reviews, annual audit and other compliances.
Work with VP Finance on creating team in Addison (Headquarters).
Experience with managing 4 to 6 people in US and India.
CPA with 15+ years progressive accounting experience.
Big 4 accounting experience required.
Software industry experience required.
7+ years of managing 4 to 6 team members.
Start-up experience preferred.
Software Industry ($10M to $200M)
Financial reporting, SOX and internal audit experience preferred
5+ years of ERP experience required, preferred in QuickBooks and NetSuite.
Strong accounting and analytical skills, ability to problem solve, advanced spreadsheet capabilities, and solid organizational and communication skills required.
Strong business orientation combined with unquestionable integrity, ethics and financial skills
The candidate must be, detail oriented, well organized and able to prioritize tasks and posses strong work ethic
Public company experience helpful
Demonstrated leadership required.
Hands-on management style a must
