Boardwalk Pipeline Partners is looking for a Pipeline Controller I/II/III/Sr. for our Sulphur, LA office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In this role, you will ensure safe movement of product in and out of the Boardwalk pipelines, serve as dispatch for movements in and out of the pipelines as primary contact for Boardwalk customers, continuously monitor equipment provide light maintenance where needed.

Duties:
  • Control hydrocarbon liquid flow on the BLM pipelines while meeting regulatory requirements
  • Monitor SCADA System alerts/alarms and recommend appropriate operational changes with internal parties
  • Anticipate dynamic pipeline conditions resulting from customer demand, adverse weather and/or abnormal operating events
  • Respond to emergency conditions to minimize adverse impacts
  • Participate in implementing operating plans to support scheduled facility outages
  • React to unplanned facility outages
  • Establish appropriate operating set points and hydrocarbon routing patterns to enhance cost effective dispatch decisions
  • Initiate volumetric and pressure conditions necessary to satisfy external customer receipt and delivery requirements
  • Coordinate with Customer Service Department to minimize volumetric imbalances
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 -4 years of experience in related field
  • Maintain safe working conditions
  • Ability to train to competency and control the process via DCS system
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations
  • Able to comprehend work plans
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work with a team and take direction from supervisors
  • Ability to work 12 hour rotating shift
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures
  • Proficient with hand tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 4+ years of experience in related field
  • Construction, oilfield, or chemical processing experience
  • PTEC degree
