JOB TITLE: Manager, Financial Planning & Reporting

REPORTS TO: Director, Budgeting

JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Planning & Reporting Manager will focus on internal financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. He/she will also manage financial reporting staff.


  • Manage department staff of two Financial Analysts.
  • Assist Director in preparation of 5 year plan, budgets and projections.
  • Review standard monthly reporting – internal management reports and various internal operations reports
  • Review financial presentations for Board of Directors and various internal management meetings
  • Build and enhance financial models that assist in optimizing business decision making.
  • Provide financial support to the field management team in the pro forma building process for new store acquisitions and contract renewals
  • Play key role in reporting system implementation
  • Ongoing financial analysis to help monitor operations and analyze the business
  • Build and maintain operational and financial reporting in the financial reporting system
  • Special Projects, Ad Hoc requests (Enrollment & industry trends, scorecards, sales per student analyses)


  • Bachelors Degree required, finance or accounting
  • 5-10 years experience in financial planning and management experience
  • Demonstrated aptitude with financial reporting/budgeting systems required
  • Financial statement variance analysis
  • Experience with Proforma modeling
  • Strong analytical skills essential and attention to details
  • Self starter with an eye for process improvements
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as across cross-functional teams
  • Strong Technical skills, including Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
