Summary

This position is primarily responsible for accurate accounting and financial reporting for our property management and general contracting services.

Essential Functions

Bookkeeper/Accounting

  • Assist in creating monthly financial statements and all necessary supporting information for management team meetings. Present the financials to the management team and explain any variances
  • Participate in annual budget creation
  • Perform bank reconciliations, including credit card processing
  • Prepare and post required journal entries
  • Review, analyze and reconcile all balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
  • Prepare summary of significant events and budget variances
  • Perform bank deposits
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable function including process and pay all invoices, pay and reconcile company credit cards
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable function including invoicing, prompt collections and posting to QuickBooks
  • Communicate with bank representatives as needed
  • Work with outside accountant for oversight.
  • Provide weekly cash flow reports.
  • Maintain all necessary financial documents.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop as well as Microsoft Office Products.
  • Excellence in prioritizing, organizing and scheduling,
  • Excellence in oral and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.

Job Type: Part time (20 hours/week)

Salary: Depends on Experience

  • Accounting: 3 years (required)
