The Financial Analyst is instrumental in leading and driving the planning and forecasting process, and providing insightful analyses and information to enhance company decision making and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Partner with Operations leadership to drive enhanced decision making.
  • Responsible for preparation and analysis of reporting related to operational costs of various products and processes.
  • Reporting responsibilities include all facets of operations with an emphasis on financial and production related analysis.
  • Prepare analysis of weekly manufacturing costs by process including weekly profit and loss.
  • Assist in review of plant operations and performance to include completing variance analysis to forecast and plan.
  • Assist with month-end close and reporting to include the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for internal management review.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and understand how manufacturing processes impact costs and factor into the profitability structure.
  • Drive cost reduction efforts and reporting.
  • Monitors and analyzes general ledger related activities to develop procedures for continuous improvement while maintaining accuracy.
  • Review and approve payment invoices ensuring expenditures are charged to appropriate accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of forecasts and the annual operating budget.
  • Prepare insurance and manpower reports, census filings, and sales and use tax returns.
  • Verification of internal and external data to support 100% accuracy of data and analysis.
  • Understand the sensitivity and confidentiality of information and practice a high level of professionalism and political awareness during discussions and meetings.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • 4 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Expert level of proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and ERP/MRP systems
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP
