POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager, Capex & Strategy, this position will be primarily responsible for first level review of all Capex projects in Landing Systems, through the Collins eCAR system.The position will also provide support for Operations Finance month end closing and forecasting activities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide first level review of all capex projects in the eCAR system. This includes reviewing the completeness and accuracy of inputs and supporting attachments, the format of submissions in accordance with standard work, the rationale for the investment, and inclusion of the appropriate approvers in accordance with the Landing Systems Approval Authority matrix.
Liaise with Accenture, the outsource partner for fixed asset transactions.
Coordinate fixed asset physical checks for each Landing Systems site on a five year rotation.
Coordinate depreciation simulations for planning inputs.
Provide support for month end and forecasting processes, including but not limited to headcount reporting.
Apply continuous improvement methodologies to support the financial aspects of the capex processes.
Support Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit compliance activities, reporting, and analysis.
Perform other duties as required.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline and 3 years’ of experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in a manufacturing accounting environment an advantage.
Requires excellent general and cost accounting skills.
Demonstrates high level of self-initiative and a bias for action.
Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
Comfortable around higher management; interacts well at that level
Ability to support and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Maintains responsibility and accountability for entire task/project.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products required.
Proficiency with an ERP system required, SAP preferred.
Ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision required.
Ability to identify and analyze problems and to exercise creativity to develop and/or implement practical solutions.
Ability to evaluate his/her work and exercise judgment.
Able to address problems with multiple variables and unknown solutions. Has clear, well thought out logic in proposed approach/solution.
Complexity level of expected projects/tasks: Medium.
Ability to problem-solve and exercise creativity to develop and/or implement practical solutions.
