Financial Analyst
Primary Job Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for all financial aspects of the operation and as part of the Plant Leadership Team, holding the local team accountable for the results
Daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting
Prepare reliable and timely annual budgets, monthly/weekly forecasts and analyze variance to each on a month-to-month basis
Oversee all functions of G/L, A/R, A/P, Production and Non Production Purchasing:
Collection of A/R
Customer invoicing
Maintain contract pricing
Purchase Order and customer payment matches the current EC level
Ensure the purchases are properly authorized, received accurately, and timely
Petty Cash- maintenance and reconciliation
Regulatory reporting – local and state
Local and state tax issues
Ensure labor costs are properly captured and reflected in the financial statements
Conduct layered/internal audits
Audit and approve all plant related Expense Reports
Capital approval and reporting
Participation in all internal and external audits
Participation quoting activities
Special projects
Expectations
Day to day accounting functions
Weekly forecast of prior week’s results and possible future events that veer from the last forecast or budget
Complete knowledge of the operation at the facility and consistently offering suggestions for improvement
Daily staffing report out
Weekly dashboards
Monitor the plant spending to ensure that the facility is acting fiscally responsible
Monthly deliverables to both the local team and the Corporate Team:
Complete report out of monthly results
Complete analysis of variances to both our monthly forecasts and annual budgets
Monthly forecasts and analysis to budget and prior month forecasts
Margin Improvement Plans
Risks and Opportunities
Updated monthly balance sheet activity – Account Recs
Complete breakdown of Accounts receivable position
GAAP Standards and tax compliance
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 1-3 Years accounting experience with very strong operational involvement in the automotive industry, specifically Tier 1 supplier experience with the OEM’s preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (minimum)
Prior Plant experience preferred
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, MFG PRO/QAD or similar ERP experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
Strong experience in creating/reviewing annual/monthly/weekly budgets and forecasts
Demonstrated strong leadership and team development abilities
Hands on experience in month closing process
Ability to manage multiple and one-time projects with urgency and confidentiality
Willingness to be flexible and work a demanding schedule
Ability to be creative and lead change in a dynamic environment
Goal oriented and work well in a team environment
